A Perfect Trek
Trekking is one of the most fun adventure sports of recent times. Trekking generally involves a lot of human endurance both of mind and body and before you actually take on to a trekking trip the following things should be remembered.
Make yourself well aware of the area in which you want to embark your trip. This can be done through articles, maps and guides etcetera. After having done that lay out your time lines and date lines clearly about when you wish to trek. Make sure that the weather is favourable during this time of the year or else your trip can be quite unproductive.
Arrange for a proper kit. You must have the adequate clothing, shoes, ample inner wear, dry food items and few necessary medicines. Please make sure that the selection of these items is done carefully. Most important part is to lay out your route and halt areas. Plan them well in advance so that you are not troubled actually on ground. Good planning before the trip is the key to an enjoyable trekking experience.
Select, if you can, the group of people or person who is willing to trek with you. The company is most important and it keeps you going during difficult parts of the trek. You need to be physically fit to take on the trek and if you are suffering from any ailment, seek advice from your doctor before embarking on to the mission.
The route out and route in for the trek should be well know to you and you should try to select one such route which you feel you will be comfortable to do with not much of a problem. Ensure you have good communication system with you so that you are able to contact the concerned people during any emergency.
Carry a good camera if you are interested in photography too. Please remember while on trek, you do come across some most beautiful places, images, people and things. These you make like to preserve in your memories forever. Remember trekking is an activity which at times can be boring so you must carry nice music along to pep you up in the dull moments if you are trekking alone.
The group with whom you are making your plans with should be well knit and each member of the team must understand the other very well. Trekking is the most fun game if the companions are like minded and team is healthy, fit and geared for some excitement. Last but not the least – Please do not undertake trekking to a destination that you are not confident about right from the beginning. It should be a fun experience and not gruelling if you are not a professional. The most important is your endurance and physical fitness so if you have any doubt on this, think over a different trek route as this may have a negative affect on the other team members too.
