Necessities for a forest camp
If you are the adventure seeking kind of person, taking a hike and camping in the unknown forests must sound thrilling to you. It is quite an exquisite experience, the fresh air, lush greens and the smell of the earth can all be very exciting. Also, finding trails long forgotten can be a great experience and the perfect weekend retreat for some. However, some things must never be forgotten when you venture out in to the forests.
Firstly, you must read up and research on the forest reserve chosen by you. Have a fair idea of the wildlife and the trails that may be present there. It is always a good idea to talk to like –minded people and form a team which can camp and hike together because in a place like a forest, more number of people means more fun and also more safety.
Always carry enough fresh drinking water to keep you going for the day. Flashlights and extra batteries are a must to protect you from any unwanted encounters. Always carry good insect repellents in to forest and a good light weight jacket to protect your arms from being scratched by trees or attacked by insects. Wear good boots which cover your ankles to protect you from any bites to your feet. Learn basic first aid tips and carry a well stocked first aid box.
A well informed camper is always a good camper. Remember to keep a fire going around the camp all night and to carry extra books of matches to be safe. A trip in to the pristine forests can be relaxing and rejuvenating if you are well equipped and well informed.
