The best way of exploring a vast desert land is by camping there. It is the amazing kind of a camping experience that would get into the veins of an adventure seeker or for that matter an explorer too. The never ending vast desert skies, the curvaceous dunes, the humming sounds of the coyotes, the chill in the air at night, all can be found at one camping ground which is the surreal Sahara or for that the amazing deserts of California or Rajasthan. Be it any desert, if you are out on an amazingly adventurous getaway, deserts are the place to be.

A serene location with splendid beauty can really become magical. Long gone are the days when one had to carry the entire camping gear and varied kinds of equipment to experience camping amidst the deserts. These days one gets the facility of mobile camps which include the comforts of tables, chairs, temperature control, mattresses, sleeping bags and other basic necessities  including toilets and showers, but that would not be a real camping experience. One must explore the real beauty of a desert like Sahara but should do it proper planning and coordination. Campers should be prepared for any contingencies accompanied with this getaway because deserts can be wild and at times a real hostile place to be with respect to the weather and the environment.

Desert campers must carry enough food and water supply. If the camping is for a few days then one must be equipped with good quality man-pack tents, ropes, and digging tools. A camper must be prepared to fight the weather, snakes and insects. Carrying a snake bite kit is a must alongwith insect repellants. Sun protection is a must there too. Apart from the check-list, deserts are the perfect place for camping and one must explore these amazing lands with their friends and also their families.
